关于 KIIDD

关于 KIIDD

Established on April 10, 2017, at The Chinese University of Hong Kong, Shenzhen, the Kobilka Institute of Innovative Drug Discovery (KIIDD) is named in honor of 2012 Nobel Laureate in Chemistry, Professor Brian K. Kobilka, recognizing his groundbreaking work on G protein-coupled receptors. Bolstered by significant government funding, KIIDD has cultivated a world-class research ecosystem featuring the Kobilka Cryo-Electron Microscopy Center (KEMC), the Advanced Mass Spectrometry facility (KMS), and other cutting-edge platforms. Our multidisciplinary team is dedicated to discovering novel therapeutics for challenging membrane protein targets, including complex receptors and transporters. Beyond pioneering research, KIIDD serves as a dynamic nexus connecting academia, biotechnology, and the pharmaceutical industry. Through targeted symposia and collaborative initiatives, we unite global experts to share knowledge and accelerate the development of life-saving treatments for unmet medical needs.
