Brian Kobilka

Dr. Brian Kobilka is a Professor of Molecular and Cellular Physiology at Stanford University, where he is also a member of Bio-X, the Cardiovascular Institute, the Maternal & Child Health Research Institute, and the Wu Tsai Neurosciences Institute. His research focuses on adrenergic receptor biology, which plays a critical role in the interface between the sympathetic nervous system and cardiovascular function. His laboratory investigates the three-dimensional structure of adrenergic receptors, their intracellular trafficking, and the physiological relevance of receptor subtype diversity through targeted gene modification in mice.
