About
Dr. Hee-Jung Choi is a full professor in the Department of Biological Sciences at Seoul National University in Korea. She received her Ph.D. in biochemistry/structural biology from Seoul National University and conducted postdoctoral research at Stanford University under the supervision of Prof. William I. Weis, where she was first introduced to GPCR structural biology through collaboration with Prof. Brian Kobilka. Dr. Choi started her own lab at Seoul National University in 2012. Her laboratory aims to elucidate receptor activation mechanisms and identify novel ligands for therapeutic applications by integrating structural biology, pharmacology, biochemisty, and computational methods. Dr. Choi has authored over 60 peer-reviewed publications, including recent structural studies of peptide ligand-bound GPCRs and odorant receptors.
