About
Jiang Xia is a professor in the Department of Chemistry and a professor by courtesy in the School of Life Sciences at the Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK). He received a Bachelor of Science in 1999 and a Master of Science in 2002 from Nanjing University, China, and a Ph.D. in 2006 from Stanford University, USA. He received postdoctoral training at Caltech with a joint position at the Howard Hughes Medical Institute in the USA from 2007 to 2008. He started his independent career as an Assistant Professor at CUHK in 2009, was promoted to tenured Associate Professor in 2015, and is now a Professor. His research interests lie in applying chemistry to biomedicine (Chem4BioMed) with a focus on immunotherapies and anti-aging regeneration. He has published more than 160 papers and was elected a Fellow of the Royal Society of Chemistry in 2021. He is an adjunct professor at four universities in the Chinese Mainland and a chief scientific advisor of three companies.
