About

Dr. Qiang Su is a Junior Investigator at SMART. He joined the SMART in 2024, where he established the Structural Immunobiology Laboratory. Dr. Su has been dedicated to elucidating the structure and function of immune receptors, with research interests spanning key immune recognition molecules, including B cell receptors (BCRs), T cell receptors (TCRs), and IgE receptors. His research aims to uncover the molecular principles underlying precise immune recognition and regulation by resolving the structural basis and signaling mechanisms of immune receptors and their co-receptors. By integrating multidisciplinary approaches, including biochemistry, structural biology, and protein engineering, Dr. Su investigates the design, engineering, and functional regulation of novel immune receptors and their co-receptors. His work seeks to establish new strategies for precise immune cell modulation and provide fundamental insights and technological platforms for the development of immunotherapies and synthetic immunology.
