About

Pan Xiaojing is a Junior Principal Investigator at the Shenzhen Medical Academy of Research and Translation (SMART). She received her Bachelor of Science from the School of Life Sciences at the University of Science and Technology of China in 2011, and her Ph.D. from the School of Medicine at Tsinghua University in 2016. After postdoctoral training, she joined the School of Life Sciences of Tsinghua University as an Associate Research Fellow in 2019, and in 2023, she moved to her current position at SMART. Dr. Pan's research group primarily employs structural biology, biochemistry, and physiological approaches to investigate the working mechanisms of membrane proteins and their drug action mechanisms related to major diseases. Their research directions include membrane proteins involved in metabolic diseases and neurodevelopmental processes. To date, she has published 29 papers, including 5 as first author (including co-first author) in the top-tier international journal Science, and 12 as co-corresponding author in journals such as PNAS and Nature Communications.
